Finally a Name....

As many of you know, I have been back and forth trying to name this little side business for months now. For personal and sentimental reasons, I was set on naming it something "WishBone"... Wishbone Cupcakes or similar. But, after further thought and considering the trusted opinions of my marketing colleagues I decided against it.

Joe and I made list after list on the weekends and finally (State Corporation Commission willing) decided on a name for an LLC.

Heavenly Babycakes!

Next we file for the name, Tax ID, health inspection etc. etc. etc. And the etc. is endless. Logo, business card, stickers, boxes, website, e-newsletter etc. etc.

Thanks to you guys spreading the word, I have a few orders that came in and I am excited. It makes it real, yikes! Picking up a little faster than I planned and I need to get a move on.

I received a text from a close friend on Wednesday night letting me know she referred someone to me for 400 cupcakes for next week. I immediately called Joe and told him to get his cupcake apron on... this would take several bakers :)

Stay tuned!

A State Affair

We recently hosted a little client party at our office to celebrate the launch of an important program. This particular program is being executed in 7 pilot states. These little mini cupcakes symbolize each of the 7 - AR, NC, FL, CT, HI, MD and ID. I did them in a rush but they got the point across.

Bite out of the Big Apple

A very talented and special member of my team, Caitlin, leaves today to pursue her advertising and marketing career in the big city!!! For her celebration lunch I made her NYC cupcakes. I was out with friends having a couple glasses of really good Malbec which got me home a little late for decorating... but I think I somewhat pulled it off. It's all about practice right :) Good Luck Caitlin!

A few photos for now

I must apologize in advance because my profession is marketing and it will not be evident in my blog or posts just yet. I have great intentions and it will get better over time but for now I simply need to use this as a place to share photos of work.

Nest of hatching blue birds for easter (carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and toasted coconut)
